Parent Resource Center

The Parent Resource Center, located at the Beacon Center at Village Academy, coordinates information for school activities, agency referrals, community resources and adult education courses. Parents have free access to computers, fax machines and copiers. Through Families First, our collaborative partner, families have access to special services such as counseling, therapy, support groups, legal services, credit counseling, financial management and mental health services. Pregnancy and HIV testing with pre- and post-counseling are also offered.

Adult Education

Adult education courses are provided through the Beacon Center at Village Academy and include topics such as parenting and computer instruction. Special courses are also offered on purchasing a home, filing taxes and financial management. In conjunction with the Palm Beach County Literacy Coalition, we offer General Education Development, English for Speakers of Other Languages and Village Reader literacy course. Childcare and homework assistance is provided for the children of parents attending courses.
