Volunteer Opportunities

The Centers offer many volunteer opportunities to work with children. Volunteers are needed to read to toddlers and pre-K students and provide homework support to after-school students. High school students receive written confirmation of community service hours when they volunteer.

Volunteers that work with children must meet certain Health Department requirements.
A volunteer packet containing the following is to be completed prior to volunteering:

• local background screening from the Palm Beach County Sheriff‘s Office
• current TB test or chest x-ray within the past two (2) years
• three (3) reference letters (two (2) from non-relatives)
• completed Volunteer Information Form
• notarized Affidavit of Good Moral Character
• signed Policy on Confidentiality
• signed Policy on Child Abuse

A volunteer packet can be obtained by contacting our Volunteer Coordinator at (561) 276-0520 or email info@delraychild.org.

Foundation volunteers are also needed to assist with mailings, events and fundraisers. Health Department requirements do not apply to volunteers that are not working with children. High school students receive written confirmation of community service hours.
